A painting robot that looks at its own canvas

e-David watches its painting through a camera, compares it with a target image and decides on the next brushstroke – layer by layer, between precise rendering and expressive abstraction.

A long-running art and research project at the University of Konstanz since 2009, led, managed and artistically shaped by Michael Stroh under the supervision of Prof. Oliver Deussen.
